I am due for an annual exam but got ultrasound done for pcos and my ob put me on pills because I bled heavily and needed to be on pills for regular periods. The annual exam is only pap smear and breast exam, optionally STD but I am married, so it's only my husband I have sex with. My ob is on maternity leave. The nurse gave me refill only for a month and said she won't send more (I usually get a 3 month supply) until I get my annual exam done. Can they stop refills because of this? The reason I cannot guarantee is with one doctor being out, it's hard for me to get an appointment within the next one month. Also I moved 30 miles away, it's hard for me to take a half day leave for a visit. Can they do it? Can they stop giving refills because I didn't go for my annual? Thanks!
