Baby sleeping in crib

Kr

So I have gotten some grief for not wanting our baby to sleep in our room.

Reasons:

1. We have 2 cats who sleep in bed and I’m afraid I’ll wake up to one of them sleeping on our baby.

2. Her crib is on the same wall as our bed so I would get out of bed take maybe 7 steps and be at her crib.

3. My husband gets up early for work and I think her being in her room would be better for a routine.

Am I the only one not having the baby sleep in the same room?? We have a monitor and I plan on setting an alarm for the first few weeks to check on her.
