How did you tell your parents that you were pregnant?

I'm a bit of a planner lol. I'm 19 and there's a big chance that I'm pregnant. I know I'm getting ahead of myself lol but I want to have everything planned out if the pregnancy test says positive😊 I dont know how my parents are going to react... I imagine them being very disappointed and probably mad. My mom and I are very close so I dont know if I should tell my mom first and go from there or tell them both at the same time.

My parents aren’t together. I told my mom at 12 weeks and my dad I’ll yell at 20 weeks cause he will blab to the world lol

I was 18 when I found out I was pregnant. I text my mom and asked her to come to my room (which was normal, we liked to hang out). She came in and I said “I need to tell you something, but you can’t tell dad.” She said “If you’re pregnant, I can’t keep that promise.” So I said “Fine, I’m not telling you.”
And that’s basically how I told my mom. She told my dad for me. They were both disappointed but ended up being very supportive. I had him at 19, and had moved out on my own before he arrived.

My parents are divorced and live in different states so I couldn't really tell them at the same time. I had to call my mom, and my in-laws, but since my dad lives 10 minutes away from me and it's my his first grandchild (I have a half-brother from my mom who has a son) I did something special for him.

I had planned my pregnancy at 20, even if my parents weren’t too happy about it. When I got my positive it was very faint so my boyfriend didn’t think it was positive. I took it to my dad and asked if he saw it or if I was crazy. My mom found out after that.

I haven’t been in your situation... but I always knew that if I ended up pregnant unexpectedly, I would tell my mom first. She’s my best friend and would be able to break the news to my dad with me.

My family was hanging out in the kitchen when I tested. As soon as the second line popped up blazing positive I walked to the kitchen and handed my mom my test. I went to my room and cried in my bfs lap and she came and talked to me lol. I found out when I was 19, I’m now 20 and 33 weeks along. It’ll be okay if you are. I’m a big planner too and didnt plan that at all lol

I'm 22 and live 600 miles away from my parents. I chose to tell my mom first because I was worried of my dad's reaction, but he ended up reacting better than my mom did. If I had to do it over I would have just told them at the same time.
