Brain Folds

After a scary few days in the hospital and preeclampsia, our little guy was delivered at 35 weeks. We knew that his cerebellum was a little small and that he has enlarged ventricles. Now that they did an MRI, they see that his brain has very few folds, more like a 27 week old. Has anyone experienced anything similar? He's acting like a normal preterm infant, but they're expecting him to have terrible handicaps that may even shorten his life. Obviously, daddy and I are devastated and at a complete loss for what to do. It's so hard to see all the baby stuff we have set up for him and then know that he may not even make it home.
