Have u given your 6 month old, sips of water?

If so, how much can you give a 6 month old? How often ?

I read no more than 2oz per day and it can be tap water now but not bottled x

After every solid meal my daughter has about 1/4-1/2 a cup measurement of water. She loves it and is exclusively breast and now starting solid feeds.
She also tries to drink the bath water which inmo is gross haha so I’d rather give her a sippy cup so she can get use to that instead

I give her a sippy cup of water when she’s eating solids. She takes a few sips here and there but mainly plays/chews on the cup and spits out the water that gets in her mouth. Water in a sippy cup can be introduced at 6months

I’ve not given much water to my daughter as she won’t drink it from a bottle just chews the teat, I’ve been trying with sippy cups and that works abit better.. but I offer her my boob once she eat some solids so not to concerned about water intake yet as she gets enough fluid from breastmilk. With my boys tho they was formula fed at this age so was a lot easier to give them oz or 2 aday.

I put an oz in his bottle after his solids but he generally takes a few sips and then spends the rest of his time playing with the bottle. It’s not necessary but my son tends to get constipated and this has helped with that.

I’ve only given him a cap full so if I open a water bottle I use the bottle cap I have given him more before like a ounce or 1.5 when he was constipated . But mostly breastmilk

Yes I give her an ounce in her cup with each meal she has for that day
