Tips for washing baby’s hair?

My LO has a LOT of hair and it’s long. We only wash it a couple times a week but since we transitioned her out of her reclining baby tub to just sitting in the tub, I’m at a loss for how to wash her hair without her getting upset/water pouring over her face. She gets so upset when I try to lean her back and so if I let her sit upright and look up to pour the water she immediately looks down and the water drips all over her face. She ends up getting very upset and calms down quickly not if there are any tips to making it a little better I’m interested!!

My little girl hates it so much because it shocks her every time. I actually bought that visor off amazon that you hold around the crown of their head when rinsing and it works pretty well!

In our girl's swimming lessons, her teacher taught her to hold her breath before going underwater by saying "Reaaaady? Goooooooo." I do the same thing before pouring water on her hair in the bath, so when it runs down her face, she knows what's coming and doesn't mind at all.

I have her sitting on one of those giant sponges. I drain the water really low and have her lay down as I wash her hair. She plays with her bath toys while I do this and doesn't mind.

I put a folded rag on my daughters forehead as I tilt her head back. Some still gets on her face but she doesn't seem to mind. Thought she doesn't mind the water on her face at all it just takes her breath away and freaks me out.

We are experiencing the same thing over here! I usually wait until the end of bath time to wash his hair cause I know it’ll make him so upset 🤷🏽‍♀️

Same issue here although my son doesn’t get too upset I just feel bad. I have no suggestions haha. I have seen those little hats that they wear around their forehead and then it drips off of that? I haven’t used it but I actually am tempted

We have a cup that is made to wash baby’s hair! I got it at Target, but it’s also on Amazon.
It’s squishy where the water pours out, so I kind of push it against her head (I do tip her head back just a tad) and pour the water out. It usually just runs off the sides of her head then rather than in her eyes.

My girl HATES the water being poured in her face! We’re sticking to doing it to get her used to it, but we’ve started holding our hand over the top of her head so the water drips over her face mostly. Some does still get on her face, but she seems much better with it. They also probably still make the foam headband things from the 80s that my mom used on me😂🤣She said I hated water in my face as well🤷🏻‍♀️
