succenturiate lobe??

Amanda

My doctor called today about my anatomy ultrasound that was done last week. I am currently 19 weeks with my little rainbow baby after three awful back-to-back losses last year.

Apparently I have a succenturiate lobe placenta, which I had no idea what that meant. She explained it means my placenta is basically separated into two different parts, baby need a lot of monitoring to make sure her growth continues as it should, but could cause complications later for baby or I and we’d talk about it more at my appointment next week.

Does anyone have experience with this? I’m trying not to work myself up, this has been a bumpy ride and I’m so grateful to have made it to the halfway point... Just heartbreaking to hear somethings wrong again
