Has anyone taken Flagyl or the generic version is Metronidazole 500mg 2 times a day while pregnant durning the first trimester for Bacterial Vagionisis?

Was your baby fine? I'm 7.5 weeks and just get worried but have to get rid of the infection too! Help please!

I took 2 rounds. I'm now 27 weeks and baby is fine... However it never fully cleared my BV, just as a warning. I am still struggling with it and the dr won't give me any more flagyl because I'm resistant to it somehow.

It is safe for you and your baby to take. Make sure you do take it and take all of it! Even if you are feeling better.. Make sure you take every pill they gave you. If you don't finish them all, it allows the bacteria to start growing again because it most likely didn't kill them all. I hope this helps
