Of corse it’s all based on safety etc. I’ve been told I’ll be a great candidate for vbac as long as I wait long enough. We are wanting our first 2 children close in age. My husband is  thinking let’s go ahead and get pregnant,just schedule the c-section we know we can get through it. I’m thinking I’ll regret not trying for vbac. However I completely see where he’s coming from. Experiences with Vbac? Was a 2nd c-section easier to recover from?

My first csection happened because I couldn’t dilate past 5cm and the baby would have been stuck in the birth canal if I happened to dilate. My OB gave me a 50/50 chance of dilating and that my second baby would be “smaller” than my first (she was 7lbs at birth). 50% isn’t a good enough chance for me to labor for a VBAC (I labored for 35+ hours the first time), so I’m opting for a csection. My csection recover the first time was not bad. I remember being fully healed around 4/5 weeks.

I had my girls 19 months apart. I was told I could try for a vbac, but opted to schedule a repeat due to knowing my hips don’t go wide enough and would likely result in the same issue as the first time. I thought I’d regret not trying, and even almost changed my mind when I went into labor early. I made the choice to go ahead with a repeat, and I’m sooo glad I did. Even though it would have been amazing to try for vbac, I don’t feel robbed of anything. I have two heathy babies, and that’s truly all that matters!

Was originally planning for a vbac but baby had different plans. I was diagnosed with placenta previa and a velamentous cord insertion. A scheduled C-section is our safest bet.

I'm pregnant with my second and going to have a vbac if all goes well. Due June 21st and my first baby will be a year and a half old

I'm hoping for a vbac. I waited until 1 year post partum to start a trying, conceived at 14 months pp. I'm a great candidate for VBAC. The timing has been great for us and my daughter is able to understand about babies and is excited about the baby in mummy's tummy.
