Is a warm rice sock safe for a one week old?

My one week old hates being laid down in her bassinet at night, even after she’s been fed and changed.  She’ll fall asleep on me and as soon as I lay her down she wakes up crying. It takes about 2 to 2.5 hours for her to fall asleep, and then she’s up in an hour.  I saw the rice sock technique but am wondering if it’s ok for her age?

The rice sock technique is with it not warmed. It’s the weight of the rice that works not the heat.

I wonder if thats like a hot water bottle.. for my son I would heat a hot water bottle and leave it in her bed 30min before I put him in there so it warms up rhe blankets then when i put him in I would remove the hot water bottle

I use one.. just heat it up and put it in the swaddle in the bassinet for a few minutes. Then remove it and put the baby in the swaddle.  The heat helps baby transition from being held against your body to the bassinet. It works great!
