Implant vs IUD?

So I used to take the pill, rather many variations of the pill, and it never worked out the best for me. I had to switch doctors and my new doctor wouldn’t prescribe them to me anymore, so I just stopped taking it for like, three or four years now. That was before I was sexually active. Now that I am, I’d like to get back on some form of birth control. I know the pill never was the best decision for me, so I’ve been leaning more towards a hormonal IUD or the arm implant but I’m having a tough time deciding which way to go. Anyone who has either of these, what has your been experience with them and would you recommend either?

I had the same debate a couple years ago. I got the implant because I didn’t want something so invasive. IUDs can also cause a few more negative things than the implant. Two years into Nexplanon and I haven’t had any issues. No periods, less acne, and I know I can’t mess anything up.

I had this same problem, I wasn't sure which one to get. I went for the implant because it's a less invasive procedure to get fitted. I haven't gotten it yet but my appointment is in a couple of days so when I get it I will let you know what it's like.

The IUD is preferable for people that have been pregnant rather than someone who is planning to have a pregnancy later on
