Positive pregnancy test, but no baby in ultra sound !!

I’ve always had an irregular cycle, after i was trying to concive my doctor recommended cyclo progynova for regulating my cycle, ano now cycle is ok, before my cycle lasted 45-50 days now is 29-30, my last period was at 01.04.2019, now i missed my period i took a test yesterday and today and the result is positive, clearly two lines show up, i visited my doctor today and he sad that in ultrasound cant see the baby and proposed me to do a blood test to confirm pregnancy. Is it possible that home pregnancy tests give a false positive result?? I was so happy when i saw the result on test but then doc sad that there is no baby :( Does any body had the same story, what happend later, please tell me ??
