Contractions?

Please someone tell me what to do I! I am two days postpartum I still haven’t pooped I keep getting postpartum contractions hurting my back and then cramping in front and every time I have to relieve gas but all of it is extreme painful. It feels like as bad as labor contractions and on top of that I have really bad gas pains.

I always take stool softeners in the hospital and after coming home. You should start taking some and keep taking them for a bit. Your uterus contractions- did they give you 600mg or 800mg ibuprofen for them?

Giiiiirrrrl 😩😩😩 I went 8 days postpartum before I pooped. It was literally the worst part of my pregnancy/labor/delivery/recovery. Stool softeners didn’t work. I was like chugging olive oil at one point 😂

When I was in the hospital I had terrible distention of my bowels. They gave me Colace (stool softener) and Milk of Magnesia. 
If you want a more natural remedy, try making a smoothie with a lot of coconut oil and flaxseed in it. The coconut oil acts as a natural laxative. After I got home I started having constipation again and it had been 3 days since I had a movement. My husband made me a smoothie with banana, peanut butter, açaí, coconut oil and flaxseed and it did the trick! About 20 minutes after drinking it, it completely cleared me out.

My ob told me to roll a pillow and hug it while trying to poop because your muscles aren't able to contract as well and you're having a hard time pushing anymore than you already did. So you'd hug the pillow, pushing it (not too hard) into your abdomen to help push. Also take stool softeners regularly and water, as others said.
