Period at 5 wks ppd?

Curious if you ladies have any idea about this. I am 5 wks ppd and my lochia hasn't stopped yet, but the last two days it's been looking more like a period with new blood... Can you get your period this early and while still having discharge? I don't have any symptoms of an infection as far as I can tell. I have my 6 week follow up this coming week so will talk to the doc then, but just wondering if you all have some knowledge to drop on me in the meantime 😊 Thanks!
