How to talk to my doctor about my faeces?

I have iron deficiency so I have recently been talking iron tablets prescribed by my doctor. I know it is disgusting but I have seen changes in my poop - how the hell do I tell my doctor about this without it being super awkward?
Also if anyone has iron deficiency and has tips or whatnot, plz let me know

I have iron deficiency too. My poo is black since I started taking them i have a female doctor and iv seen her since i was a baby she makes me feel comfortable. If you want you could ask for a female doctor that might make you more comfortable or just come out with it lol. They are doctors they have probably seen it a million times before. They are there to help you. If you have any questions you can ask me.

Iron pills can change the color to a greenish or like greyish black.  So if that’s what is going on, totally normal.
