When can you leave the hospital?

I’m expecting an uncomplicated vaginal delivery; people usually stay for 48 hours. If everything is good for baby and I, I will be walking out after 24 hours. 🤷🏽‍♀️ I have 5 children to tend to. 😛 did any of you leave after 24 hours.

Well you need to realize that even with five previous health perfect deliveries, you could have complications. Not to mention if you have baby at 2am, they aren't gonna discharge you at 2am the next morning.I suggest asking your Boland hospital what their policies are,or even look into a birthing center, the ones I considered discharge 6-12hours after birth columnist have to bring babe back in

My bff had a straightforward vaginal birth with no getting and she was released 6 hours after giving birth.

My dr gave me the option to leave 24 hours after but I chose to stay an extra day.

Some people do but its really if your doctor gives you the ok to leave. Mine was not complicated and i had to stay 48.

I did!! I am a short drive from the hospital so if I wasn’t going to sleep, I wanted to not sleep in my home. Baby and I were cleared before hand of course with the agreement I came back if one or two things happened.

They let me leave after my c sections at 36 hours! I don’t see why you couldn’t.

My son was born around 11 a.m. oh, I told them the following day around 11 that I was ready to go. My pediatrician really gave me a hard time, but I insisted that I was ready to go. We had no complications, my son was fine, I had a son to get home to as well, and let's face it, it was just another damn day for them to bill me in the hospital.

Yes I requested an early discharge after 24 hrs. You have to tell them ASAP if that's what you want because they need to coordinate an early discharge with your OB and pediatrician  (you can't just walk out but they will likely cooperate if you give them notice)

I left after 4 hours with my second. I had a smooth uncomplicated labour with a midwife. She came the next day to my house to check on me and baby.
