Thoughts on Cainen?

We want to use the middle name Cainen, but my parents are devout Christians and I’m worried they’ll object because it’s too similar to Cain.  Thoughts?

I like the name and I think you should go with it! Even if its close to Cain, he was still an important Bible character anyway, even if he killed his brother. Plus, I never would've made that connection lol

I love the name Canaan which is a biblical place name, the promised land of Moses and Joshua. With that spelling there shouldn’t be any issues unless you end up calling him Cain. But like I told several people including grandparents and great grandparents . . . He’s not your kid you don’t have to like the name.

I chose the same name (spelled differently) if i was having a boy! my family is religious as well and i got questioned on it, but at the end of the day i’m sure you’re not seriously naming your son after a murderer so .. it’s fine. i love the name! & it’s no ones choice but yours so do it!!

With that spelling it does make me think of cain.  Maybe there’s an alternative spelling you could use even like Kaynen or something?
