7 week old standing?

Question

Hey everyone. My 7 week old has been standing up on his feet. He actually hates sitting... but I keep putting him down to sit on me. He likes to shoot back up and even crawl on me if he’s laying down on me. Anyone have this? I know it’s not good on his hips this early.
It’s not gas because he is pretty content doing it.

Mine did too. It's perfectly fine if they have the neck and head control. And if he is standing it's because he has the muscle strength to do so. Just hold him steady.

Wow I am super impressed!! My girl was a early sitter but hated standing and didn’t do it til about 4 months! She’s now 10mths and only just started crawling - only takes about 3 or 4 pushes forward before she gives up (we gotta work on her endurance!!).

Yes my daughter LOVED to stand up around 5-6 weeks and now she’s 8 months crawling and can pull herself up on everything!

Yup both my babies stood up around 8 weeks.

My baby does this at 3 weeks old. Babies can crawl on bodies from birth so that they can crawl up to the breast to feed. I wonder if that’s why they can do this. If he likes being upright (my baby does too) then you could try holding them upright or sitting them up :) x
