Best way to get rid of a yeast infection?!

I have burning when I pee sometimes and definitely itching. I’ve had the thick white discharge. I started taking probiotic daily but it’s only been a week and I’ve been on a boric acid for a couple days. The brand for both those is Queen V. I’ve been having sex like once a week. Do I need to lay off the sex? I also use a vaginal wash. I just feel like I’m getting no relief. I’m not bleeding or anything weird. Just makes me uncomfortable. I put another boric acid in tonight. What would y’all do? Would rather try over the counter before seeing the doctor.
