Blinds closed during naps?

Question

For those that have their babies nap in a crib.. do you close blinds and keep naps similar to nighttime sleep? We bought blackout curtains to hopefully get our son napping more than 30 mins but I'm worried it will confuse him with nighttime. Anyone have thoughts on this?

I wouldnt be afraid to blackout the room at least partially. It helped my daugther to settle down and sleep longer. My LO now sleeps also short periods (10-20mins) so we black out the room, use white noise and we get him to sleep again after the 20mins and he started to prolongue the naps a bit from 45mins-1hour. So he sleeps at least 1,5hours. And in the night nothing changed, he still sleeps 4-5hours between feeds.

I have blackout curtains in my room. But i also have blinds, i usually do half and half, so the room isnt completely dark, but its not bright either. I think it helps set the mood for sleep

I think it’s okay as long as they only nap about the amount of time expected. Mine would be 30 min-2 hours right now based on her age.

She usually naps in her stroller outside (I'm Scandinavian and that's a thing we do that's weird to the rest of the world 😂).
But if she's fussy and won't sleep I keep her inside and I make it boring. I'm basically trying to convince her that she needs sleep.
And since light is the shit (She can stare at the edges of a window for really long!) we have to make it as dark as possible.. But only when she won't nap any other way.

(But my LO only takes maybe 2 naps in there a day)
