When did you stop swaddling your baby for bedtime?

My daughter is 3 months and still sleeps in her bassinet. I keep get swaddled because she still has the startle reflex but she will wake up fighting like she wants it off. When did you ladies stop swaddling?

As per the AAP swaddling arms in or out should stop at first attemptd at rolling or 8weeks of age for safety reasons. We stopped at 3weeks because baby rolled!

At 12 weeks the day she first rolled over! She still had her startle reflex so it was pretty awful honestly, but we got passed it.

We went all the way to six months. He wasn’t rolling and slept better with it. It helped him fall asleep even if he broke an arm out later.

They actually make transition swaddle/sleep sacks/bags that still give them the feeling of being wrapped up but they have the freedom to more their arms! I got ours off of Amazon!

We only swaddled for the first few days, after that he got frustrated and would wiggle out of it. He was happy when he got out though, so we stopped. He does get the startle reflex sometimes, although it doesn’t wake him up. Just one of those things where there’s nothing we can do if he doesn’t want swaddled!

Stopped when she could wriggle out the swaddle herself. We never did a tight swaddle. Only enough to keep her waking herself up with the startle reflex. Think it was around 4 months or so.
