Should I be worried ?

I'm 36 weeks and my doctor told me there is no need to do an ultrasound. Which I haven't had one since 20 weeks and my question is how will they know the baby's weight ? or am I just overthinking it ? Tomorrow I start my weekly visits .

They generally don't do US after 20 weeks, unless there are concerns

Unless there are complications most Drs won't schedule you another US after 20 weeks :) your doing fine honey

No no need to worry :) It's a good sign. With me they only started doing regular ultrasounds to measure growth because I have gestational diabetes. Normally they don't need to do them, only at 10 weeks or thereabouts and then again at 20 weeks and that's it. They do tend to feel your belly to check if the baby is more or less as big as expected. But that's normally all.

My last ultrasound was at 20 weeks and we won't have another, I'm 38 weeks now. They just use the tape measure to estimate how big baby is. Even the ultrasounds can be wrong with weight

No, i have found in the US the normal is none after 20w unless complications.

That's strange how are they suppose to measure your fluids?  I've been getting weekly sonograms since I started my weekly check ups.  Monday they noticed my fluids are low now I go back tomorrow for a repeat and if it's still low they're going to induce me.

Mine told me the only reason they'd do one after the anatomy (mine was at 23 weeks) is if its medically needed say measuring to big or small etc. They go by feel and guess the size now. Since its harder to do an unltrasound to tell size, it is getting a littlw cramped.

I wish I could see her more though. You can always opt to pay a private scorce and get an ultrasound done at a third party office.

Yeah my ob did a quick sweep with a ultrasound to check her fluid at 37 weeks. I thinks that's just because my last baby was so big they think she'll be big too. They still didn't bother to look to see how big she was. Just that she had fluid.

Well recently I was scheduled for a ultrasound only because my belly was measuring small, she was doing the measuring tape thing at first. I am 34 weeks an 5 days an don't even look close to it.

If your doctor hasn't scheduled it then your belly is on track.
