How do you sleep?

My 7 week old will not sleep in the bassinet or anywhere but the boppy or on me. What do I do? I am getting zero sleep.

My daughter hated the bassinet and would only sleep in my arms up until 7 weeks. We kept trying the bassinet and tried every technique. At first, she was incredibly restless, being noisy and thrashing around. Now, she sleeps 6-8 hour stretches. We swaddle her in her Halo sleepsack, play relatively loud white noise, lay her down on her bassinet mattress dressed in my shirt a few minutes after she falls asleep. We also give gas drops starting in the evening with every feed, because gas was waking her up. We went from photo one to photo two in a week and a half by being consistent.

My girl was going through a growth spurt at that time. We just waited it out and eventually she was happy being put to sleep in her bassinet. So if you think it's a growth spurt, just tough it out for a few days then try putting him down for a nap. If he wakes up, I would soothe to sleep again, layn him back down, and repeat.

Your babe will never pick the firm bassinet or crib mattress if the plush Bobby or on you ya an option. Keep consistent with the bassinet as the only sleep option and they will adapt

Is your baby rolling already? Then swaddle will not work. Mine is the same way as far as sleeping is concerned. He likes sleeping on the boppy where the boppy is around me so he is flat and safe. But my sleeping comfort is ZERO

Is he swaddled? I’ve also heard warning up the mattress with a rice bag before you put the baby in can help

What does he do in the bassinet? Just wondering. I thought my Lo was “awake”, but he was just grunting and making some movements inbetween sleep cycles.
