UTI or no?

Im pretty sure I have a uti but I just needed clarification. Im only 15 so I really have no idea what “symptoms” there are. Ive had a different smell in discharge, pain only right after peeing, and a more often pressure or urge to pee. Im honestly really embarrassed about this and I dont know how it happened. If I could also get advice on how to tell my mom?

UTI’s happen for all sorts of reason and nothing to be embarrassed about. They can be caused from sex and not peeing after to clear the bacteria from your urethra,  it can be due to wiping improperly (as in wiping back to front), or urethra issues and a million other ways bacteria creeps into your urethra. Talk to you mom and tell her you think you’ve got a UTI. In the mean time drink loads of water. 
Generally, you’ll notice some or all of these following symptoms: pain with urination, bladder pressure, cloudy and/or smelly urine, change in frequency, not being able to pee or feeling as though you can’t empty your bladder, burning, blood in urine, etc. 
It’s not always easy to spot. I get back pain nearly every time, sciatica, flank and hip pain- but I’ve had UTI’s my whole life. Back pain is always my first indication but there are times I miss it and end up with a kidney infection.

Symptoms are usually, abdominal cramping, frequent need to pee, pain during urination, feeling like you didn’t fully empty your bladder after you peed, and in severe cases blood in your pee.
Lots of people get uti’s and it’s nothing to be embarrassed about.
If you’re having smelly discharge, it may be a yeast infection and not a UTI.
Either way you should see your doctor.
