I don’t really know where to put this, so I’ll just put it here I guess

I live with my parents and they just got a 9 week old puppy. I have a 10 month old son and for the most part the pup and baby just ignore each other. Recently the puppy has been very into playful biting, I guess I could say. She isn’t really biting just putting her open mouth on my hand, ankle, and toes. She’s also started doing this to my son, and he freaks out which is understandable.

I should say I understand the puppy wanting

to be playful and playfully bite as I’m assuming she did that with her siblings.

We got the puppy a number of toys and usually when she starts showing she wants to be playful I direct her to one of her ropes, or stuffed animals to bite.

What else can I do to redirect her from nibbling at my son? I don believe in doing anything harsh because she’s just a baby too, and she doesn’t understand.
