How often are breastfeeding mom's feeding their child?

My son eats about every 2-3 hrs and doctor said it was too often for his age and he is only at 2.8percentile

Every 2-2.5hrs during the day, my guy is 50% for weight at 6 mos. Feel like 2-3hrs is super normal for ebf babes!

It’s normal. Many docs don’t have good breastfeeding knowledge. They give advice that they give to formula babies. Plus more frequent feeds means better milk supply. If you force spacing of feeds you risk decreasing your supply. Keep doing what you’re doing. You know your baby best. I’m a physician and have taken special interest in breastfeeding.

My son has days where he’ll go every couple hours then other days where he’ll want to nurse every hour. It can be frustrating but it’s what it is and I’m just thankful to be able to breastfeed this time around. My son is also in the 90 percentile for his weight and height.
