Lip tie in toddler.
I’m a first time mom, so please be nice. When my daughter was an infant, she couldn’t latch. We tried and tried and tried, and couldn’t get the hang of breastfeeding. I started formula feeding when she started to lose weight. The doctors wrote me off, saying that fed is best (which I agree with). They said nothing was wrong, and that we just hadn’t tried hard enough. 🙄 fast forward to her 1st year birthday, and her first dentist appointment. They point out a very severe lip tie (that I thought was normal thanks to her doctors). We were referred to an ENT, who said we can either fix it or not, that it may make her have a gap between permanent teeth, but nothing medically “wrong”. So, my question is... have any of you guys had a lip tie fixed, especially at 1.5 years old? What was the process like? I need all experiences & advice.
