My son wouldn’t latch the first few days, so we decided to try them out and they’ve been working great for us while we wait to meet with someone to help with his latch. He feeds for about 30-40 minutes at a time and always seems satisfied after the feedings now (he’s exactly a week old) so I think they’ve helped great.

Yes they are, but should only be used if necessary and with help from a lactation consultant if you have never used them before. It cause lower supply in some women, so that is what you have to be careful  with. For women who need them though,  they are great. I had to use them with my son because of latch issues and I had oversupply

I’m only on day 2 postpartum so I have been trying it with colostrum because I have a bad blister on my nipple and my baby girl will suck on it but definitely does not prefer it and gets a little frustrated so I eventually have to switch to the other side and she goes crazy because it’s so much easier! It’s definitely a baby by baby kind of thing like bottles!

Mine have been a god send as my nipples were agonisingly sore and she’s probably feeding better with them than she was without!

It’s helping with latching and also gives some relief during those cluster feeds! I would recommend trying them ☺️ Another cool thing was I was able to see for sure that milk came in bc once I was trying to calm her down to help her latch better and when we returned to try again the shield was actually full of milk which really encouraged her lol
