Please tell me I’m not alone..

FTM.. So for the past 2 nights I’ve had crazy painful contractions. They stop me in my tracks, can’t breath, can’t talk. 1st night they were at 5 minutes apart for over 2 hours so I called the hospital and they said to come in when I’m having 3 contractions every 10 minutes. I ended up falling asleep due to exhaustion and they fizzled out to 20-30 mins all next day. Then night hit and my bloody show came out and they came back full force! Every 4-5 minutes to the point I was crying in pain so we went to the hospital, agreed I was in early stages, over 2cm dilated, strong contractions. But they still sent me home and said to come back when they are 2-3 minutes apart 😐 but again I got home, took the meds they gave me and tried to lay down and relax and they went to every 10-20 minutes again. WHAT IS HAPPENING! Has anyone else had this. Is this just a normal thing and it’s progress?
