My son is 20 months old.

He’s had everything checked (e.g. hearing) and everything is normal.

I’m waiting on a speech pathologist to get in touch with me. So in the meantime, I’ve been trying to play with him; read him stories; and play videos that teach words. But he’s not interested.

He doesn’t want to sit and play or read. I tried throwing a ball with him in the yard, and he just ran away.

And if he’s distracted, he sure as hell won’t listen to anyone.

Any tips?
