Birth Control IUD mirena

Today I went into the GYN for an IUD removal. I've had my iud for 3 years and in those three years I've gained about 80 pounds, mind you I'm a very active person and I work a full time job and eat a vegetarian diet I also don't consume alcohol or drugs. During my time on IUD I experienced intense stabbing pains in my pelvic area to the point where I couldn't even move, stand or sit right as well as abnormally painful cramps, light acne and intense sadness or emotional swings about a week prior to my cycle as well as intense lower back pain. Towards the 3rd year on IUD I noticed I was spotting bleeding for up to 10 days at a time which wasn't normal for me before IUD and typically I bleed 5-7 days or less in earlier years of IUD. I'm hoping that naturally my body will shed this hormonal weight off and I will start to feel like myself again. Also my 1-10 pain experience on IUD removals would be an 8.5 because it's really uncomfortable in the first place and my experience was a quick sharp intense pain while being pulled out. I hope I brought some insight.

Here's an after picture of my IUD.
