I am a SAHM. My SO is an incredibly hard worker. He works full time, does projects around the house, and is in the reserves. I recognize all his hard work and vocalize that. Yesterday, this conversation occurred as I was preparing to bathe our daughter...

Me to baby: “One day Mommy is going to make daddy bathe you!”

SO: “You keep joking about that, but it’s never going to happen.”

Me: “I was kidding, but why can’t you bathe her?”

SO: “It’s the only thing I don’t do with her.”

Me: “You don’t feed her or clip her nails or give her medicine. I have to do all of that.”

SO: “Okay, how about you go do accounting all day, then?” (He works in accounting)

He proceeded to only hold our daughter while I showered. I literally played with and took care of her for 23 hours and 45 minutes yesterday. At one point I asked him if he wanted to hold and play with her while she was so happy. He pretended not to hear me. I get som frustrated. He thinks I have it made being a SAHM, but it is incredibly hard some days. 😞
