What are ups and downs in relationships?

A lot of people say cheating is not part of the ups and downs of relationships so what are some to you?

Fighting, lack of sex/intimacy, lack of communication. I think those are things that can be worked on but cheating and abuse are not.

Drinking 
Friends getting involved. 
Silly disagreements really. 
Cheating is a big no goodbye. Definitely not a up and down.
