Do you know what a rota is?
So I am having a debate with some friends after I used the word rota in a sentence. They'd never heard it before, but I swear it's something I've encountered a lot. (Like, your work rota would be like the schedule of shifts, or you might set up a rota at home for taking care of chores, or whatever) . Someone said it's a british-ism, but I swear I didn't think I picked it up from anywhere in particular?
