Is there a limit to how many c sections?

I’m pregnant with baby #2 and I’m preeetttyyy set on trying to go with a vaginal birth, but my first baby was c section, and I just remember it being easy(ish) afterwards. And I’m absolutely terrified of the idea of pushing a baby out.
But! I know we want at least two more children, and I’m worried if I go with a c section it’ll be harder to have kids and I know once you have a certain amount the option of vaginal is pretty slim anyway.

Most doctors now where I live will only perform 3 c sections, and it’s really hard to find a doctor that will perform the surgery on a mom that’s had more. My sister had 3, and for her 4th one she had trouble finding a doctor as her incisions made her very high risk. But usually now it’s 3. Maybe 4 if you find a doctor willing

My sister in law had her first baby by csection and they told her she could have up to 4 more (5 in total) because of how well the doctor cut her, and stitched her up.

Where I live women are only “allowed” to have 3 c-sections. After that they literally tie the women’s tubes

Vaginal birth was easy and wasn’t difficult at all, I pushed my daughter out! Im pregnant again and hope to deliver vaginally again

That is true. It all depends on your doctor and your body. The more you have, the more you’re at risk for a uterine abruption. I know of one woman who had 4 c-sections and probably could have gone on to have another because her body healed very well, and her doctor’s technique probably also played a role. There are some, however, that I have seen that don’t get that many options to become pregnant and are advised to stop. I would consult with your doctor and don’t be scared for a vaginal birth if they say you’re a candidate!

You can try the vaginal birth but please if the doctor says just do a C section, do it. my sister lost a baby that way and then could only have one more and had to have her tubes tied, because the emergency C section on baby #2 was much more dangerous and harmful than a planned one (they almost did an emergency hysterectomy).
