Birth story! Meconium in water & cord wrapped around neck 😩

Jill • Mom to 2 beautiful girls! Plot twist due May 2019!

Went in at 8am to have my third baby, Cooper John on Tuesday (May 21) for a planned induction. All was going smoothly until they broke my water around 11am and out came dark green water, baby had pooped in utero 😔. Of course my worried heart was freaking out but they assured me it was normal enough and the NICU team would be there to check him over. I was 5cm when they broke my water around 11 and it took 2 hours for me to get to 10cm and engaged 😬 I got my epidural at 1230 and started pushing at 1! Epidural didn't work successfully 100% and I felt every decent and eventually him crowning. Since we had meconium my OB instructed to do little show pushes so she could make sure baby didn't suck in any meconium. Thank God bc his cord was wrapped around his neck twice. After she underwrapped the cord I have one big push and out he came! NICU team cleared him and I finally got to bond with him 20 min or so after delivery. Eventful and fast 4 hour labor!! Loving him to pieces!
