Period like cramping?

FTM, 37 weeks, 6 days and I've been having a lot of period like cramping. It's worse overnight and in the morning and tends to taper off during the day. Just wondering if any of you all experienced this? Normal? At my last visit I wasn't dialated but 30% effaced.

I'm a second time mom...my first was 10 yrs ago & I don't remember any cramping, contractions, not even Braxton Hicks beforehand. This time I've been having all of the above, especially for the last 3 weeks or so. It comes & goes. I'm 38+6 today. And the lower he gets, the more uncomfortable I am. Hang in there mama...you're almost there!! Thankfully I saw my dr today & she scheduled me to be induced in 2 days. Yay!!

I have cramping overnight too, especially in my back. I'm 34.4 so I hope it's not labor, haha.

My doctor said that it is completely normal, but I haven't had cramping nearly as bad as it seems like you do. Call your doctor just to see what they say. 😊
