Wedding help?!

Question

I’ve posted a lot about weddings and I’m sorry guys but I’ve never been to one and I know nothing about them.  I need to know if I’m having good ideas or over thinking.  Appreciating any advice 😊
What happens after you guys are married like you walk out and then what? Does everyone get up and then go eat? I need help. If someone could just give me an order of events and what they all kind of include that would help. I know it sounds stupid that I seriously am that ignorant to everything about weddings just please help this mamma out 😅
Also thinking of doing a taco bar. I don’t know how catering works so I thought of making it with my mom but we’re planning on 100-150 people is that too much work?? 
BYOB? Bring your own beer or no? I don’t have money to provide alcohol to everyone but I wouldn’t mind drinking after all the stress of my day.  
Thinking of having activities for the kids be since there will definitely be a few. Like having a shaded area with outdoor toys and just fun things for them all. Is this a good idea or?

If you can’t get a cooking and prep crew of I’d say 6-10 people, then catering is your best option. To cater, you call up a restaurant or catering business you like and let them know (in advance) you’re having a wedding and get with them to discuss the food options, date, time, price, drinks, etc. Every place is different, so I’d call ASAP to get an idea of where you would want food from and what’s in your budget and such. They’ll also tell you when to actually place the order and how to pay, if there are different payment options, etc.

After the wedding when the couple walks out, everyone goes to eat. There is a main meal, then the couple do a toast towards the middle or end (just guesstimate) to anyone special who helped out and to each other. Then the couple go up and cut the cake; some couples smash it in each other’s face and others feed their partner a bite of theirs. Then cake is served to everyone. If you plan on a first dance or a photo shoot, that can happen after/towards the end of cake eating time. Some people like to do the shoot before the wedding, it’s a preference thing. 
As for the tacos, that’s perfectly fine lol it’ll be a slight struggle to cook anything for a lot of people, but hey lunchladies at schools can do it 🤷‍♀️ just be sure to have plenty of help - your mom and you will be stressed out of your minds doing it by yourselves! At the first wedding I went to it was a potluck, the second was barbecue and brisket and things like that, the third was also potluck (put together by the couple and their parents), etc. There’s no set rules on acceptable wedding foods :) and BYOB sounds alright, just be sure to provide nonalcoholic drinks such as tea, water, lemonade, punch, etc. I think all of your ideas sound pretty good, don’t stress too hard and remember it’s YOUR big day 💜 do what makes you happy! 😊
