When did you start feeding your baby solid foods and baby food?

Her pediatrician said nothing till 6 months but I see other people feeding baby food at 4 months.

Our pediatrician said 4 months but we’re waiting until 6 cause there is no point. She gets all the nutrients she needs for nursing

We waited until 6 months. There’s no rush or need for it before then. Your pediatrician is one of the few that is following the right guidelines.

We did baby led weaning & offered her food from 6 months, but she just wasn't interested.

My dr said 4 months or when baby is ready. My oldest was4 months my second was a year and my youngest is turning 4 months so we will see when he is ready

We give my son applesauce at 4 month but that was it.  Tell 6 months.  His pediatrician was okay with that.  Go with what your pediatrician says

Technically we started giving our daughter tastes of things just before she turned 4 months old. 
She was bored of milk and obsessed with what we were eating so when we visited my mother we got some baby food products suitable for 4 months and let her have a try. 
She had some baby porridge with apple mixed with her formula because like I say, she was starting to refuse her bottles. And also offered some fruit purees and pieces rusks but never a lot. 
Once she had gotten to try other things she did better with her bottles so we kept up offering her small amounts on top of her bottles. Then we had a 3 week stretch where she had zero interest and by 5 months she was back on her food. 
As long as your not stupid about it and suddenly giving them full dinners that are piled high with salt and spices I think it’s fine to let baby try things. We personally stuck to store baby food for that early period so we were certain she wouldn’t have anything potentially too heavy for her because she was so young.

StArted early with my first born. He was a different type of baby. Lol. Weighed 7.3 at birth and was 12 .6 by one month and 15.4 at 2 months all from nursing. By month three he was like 17/18 pounds. Even though I had a lot of milk, he was always always always hungry and feeding. We started after 3 months we very puréed food

Our pediatrician said 6 months. They said they sometimes recommend at 4 months but only on really rare occasions. My son is only just now becoming aware of food and he’s 5 months.

6 months. We did give our son little finger foods (like puffs and yogurt melts) around 5.5 months because he was showing interest. But real food not until 6 months and we did baby led weaning so we didn’t use purées much after the first couple weeks.
