Does one miscarriage put me at risk?

My husband and I have 1 healthy 2 year old son, we miscarried supposed twins on March 1st 2019 and are 5 weeks almost 6 weeks pregnant now. I'm terrified at the idea of another miscarriage. Any advice?

Nope you are no more likely to have a second one now that you’ve had one. About 1 out of 4 (or more) pregnancies end in miscarriage, but only 2% of women go on to have a second miscarriage and only 1% of women go on to have 3 or more. That’s what my doctor told me.

I also suffered a miscarriage in February. Tomorrow I will be 12 weeks. Best advice I can give you don’t overthink it and don’t over stress yourself. I wish you a full healthy pregnancy 🥳🍀

It depends why the miscarriage happened, if it’s known. But early miscarriages, no, not unless you have 3+ is what my fertility doctor told me when I had my miscarriage in dec. he said you are slightly more likely to have another one than if you hadn’t had one at all, but it’s really not much different. It’s more concerning if you’ve had multiple. It’s 1 in 4 that have a miscarriage.
