Dried blood take a q tip with water and clean it out it's not a healing scab I thought that too with my baby and also if you dont get it out its very irritating to babys skin and can cause sores...

Does it smell infected? My eldest had a THICK cord and we had to get it cauterized twice because it wouldn't fall off. I want to say it didn't fully fall off u til two months old.
