Iud strings?

I don't know how to find my iud strings, I tried today and well now I have these little pinching cramps

Lay down somewhere comfortable, insert either your index or middle finger into your vagina, you should feel a round smooth object. That's your cervix, you should be able to rotate and feel around for your strings, it's best to do this around your period or when you're ovulating. (That's usually the best time for me)

If you can't find it, check in with your OB, or planned parenthood so they can check for you.

I couldn't find mine and went back to my doctor. Everything was fine they were just out of my reach. I go in every 6 months to have them checked just in case. Some doctors trim the strings shorter than others so it makes it harder to find them.
