PCOS and ovulation...?

I've been on 500mg of metformin twice a day, and my glow calendar showed I was supposed to start my fertile window today. I didn't. So disappointed.... And it's my bday!!! I was hoping for a positive OPK as a present... Do any of you ovulate different days than the prediction???!

I have pcos and 500mg 3x a day + folic acid worked for me. Got pregnant to a healthy baby girl, now she's 3 y/o. Goodluck to you and try to avoid stress and lots of prayers 🙏🙏🙏. Baby dust to you✨✨✨😀

I went to my doctor in August and we talked about me not ovulating. I told him I was using opks and how I got 8 days straight of the flashing smiley which means "high" but not "peak" and the next day it said low. He explained to me that opks are not good to use if you have pcos because the tests can not detect our ovulation correctly because our hormones are different. I just wanted to let you know in case you didn't get a "peak" smiley. It doesn't necessarily mean we did not ovulate though

After months on metformin and my sixth round of clomid, I actually ovulated around the time glow predicted....but my body even tricked my doctor! My follicle scans didn't look promising,  but based on my due date I ovulated somewhere around the prediction.

Try heading over to Soul Cysters or PCOS Diva websites, they have an overwhelming amount of information on how to make metformin work better for your body. Either through supplements, or diet modifications.

For me cutting ALL soy and beef/dairy products from cows treated with rbst did the trick. Soy is in a frightening amount of thing, read labels!
