why is it so hard to volunteer at a healthcare center???

sooo i’ve been trying to volunteer at a hospital or clinic because i want to get into a nursing program even if it’s just an associates but it’s so hard to volunteer 
feels like i’m applying for a job smh

I mean it wasn’t hard for me, and I’m 16 just look up Volunteer options.

It’s hard becasue you could get someone injured or sick and they could get sued. If you were going to a medical facility would you want them to just let whoever joe shmo walk in off the street and volunteer and be around you and possibly be providing some of the services you are receiving/ possibly have access to your medical records? Like no lol... they usually require background checks and child abuse clearances for a reason...
