Where’d your miracle come from

Maryjane • Happy wife 💍 | Poetry & Art lover ❤️ | TTC baby # 1 👣💓 with PCOS | I curse a lot but I’m a sweetheart 🤣

I know this is probably against the group rules because I’m not pregnant with PCOS.. but I don’t get enough or sometimes any feedback in the proper group. I have PCOS & my husband & I have been TTC for 3 years. I’m currently weighing about 240 pounds, 5’8 in height. About how much should I strive to lose before I’d be able to conceive? I set my weight goal at around 180 because I felt I was perfect when I was at that size, I wasn’t big but I wasn’t smaller than I preferred. What size were y’all when y’all were able to conceive? As of this week, I have started taking myo-inositol,!d-chiro-inositol (both my Jazzee) & geritol pills. I also have tons of B-12 & folic acid. Any of those did the trick for you guys? I also plan on starting up keto and more workouts to ensure I shed some weight. I’ve heard so many TTC success stories that came from women trying out keto & losing a great amount of weight. I have to shake this Pcos so I can conceive my beautiful rainbow baby 🥰

I definitely think inositol was the key for me to get me ovulating well.I was 150 when I conceived first and miscarried then 160 this pregnancy. Now 24 weeks. I’m 5 foot 3, so shorter than you.I also limited my dairy intake but didn’t cut it out completely and limited high GI and starchy carbs. I was taking myo inositol 4g, fish oil, vitamin d and folic acid. That is the combination that drastically shortened my cycles. I continue to take 4g of myo inositol a day.

Ok, thanks! I’ll just double up if my doctor approves.

The myo-inositol I have is 2gs (2000 mg) per day. Do you think that’s good enough?

I have lean PCOS and weighed 125 when I got pregnant using 10mg of femera. I tried eliminating diary, sugar, soy, etc... Using myoinostoil, vitex, omega 3, vit D, and acupuncture to conceive but none of that worked for me.PCOS is so tricky to manage. I think if you try to eat all the food groups in moderation and exercise it would be very beneficial but it still may not be enough. Unfourtunetly weight loss is not always the answer.

I agree, it is very complicated. It’s so many complications that come with it, it’s hard to know which one is the reason you can’t conceive. Sucks.

We were ttc for a year before I said I was going to make some big changes. I cut out caffeine, sugar, dairy, and gluten. Went on a diet called ideal protein which is low carb, high protein. I take 1000mg of metfomin daily, FH PRO for Women prenatal (complete prenatal and has supplements for PCOS. It’s developed by fertility doctors) We used preseed, tracked my cycle with bbt and opks and baby danced daily in fertile window. Hubby also took a multi vitamin and coQ10. After just two months of this we got our bfp!!! I started at 200lbs and conceived at 175lbs. I think losing weight was the biggest factor in getting me pregnant. Baby dust hun!

I started the 5 day egg challenge today along with intermittent fasting to get my body into ketosis & I’m so surprised that I’m keeping up with it. I cooked for my husband and didn’t touch a drop of it. My husband is no help though, he’s a “eat, im not watching you starve” kinda guy 🙄 so I keep busy or binge watch a show to keep the fast up!

Thank you! It definitely was not easy but I knew the outcome of having a pregnancy would be well with it. What helped me stay focused was having my sister in law hold me accountable. I would go to her house every Monday for my weigh in. It kept me super motivated because I knew she would “fuss” at me if I gained lol

Wow, you lost a good amount to say that was only 2 months. How the hell are you so strong & consistent 😭😭 But I want to conceive so desperately so I’m going to have to be strong with this weight loss too! And I kept track with my BBT the past 2 months and they’re never in the ovulating range, even when the app suggests it’s around that time. So I’m assuming I don’t ovulate. Hopefully that’ll all change when I drop some weight. Thank you!

After TTC for some time I went on a keto diet and once established in ketosis I got pregnant. I then went to a balanced diet but stayed low sugar. I did the same for my second pregnancy. I think the no sugar is the key. I was also taking all the recommended vitamins for PCOS first time round. After my first pregnancy my period came back regular so this pregnancy came a bit easier but I was still on a keto diet when I actually conceived. Good luck, it’s so stressful but your time will come

Do you think doing an egg fast would put me in ketosis? Saturday when I finally get some off time, I’m going to go to the grocery store to get my things for my keto meal preps. So I’m just winging it until then with the healthy stuff I currently have.

Ive known people that had success from weight loss. I’m only 20 lbs overweight so that does or hold much promise for me. I had hormones, an hsg and a trigger shot with#2 and clomid with #

I’ve seen that a lot as well. That’s why I’m definitely striving to lose some weight and see if that helps. I’ve been gaining nonstop since pcos came along 😒
