Does this seem wrong?

My boyfriend and I have been taking a break for a week. We talked about him coming home next week and he says ok but he wants to make time to hang out with friends instead of the kids one night. Does that seem wrong to anybody? I’m a stay at home mom so he’s pretty much the only other person I talk to or see much, maybe that’s why I find it wrong

You should each have a night to be able to go out with friends and be you, not just mom or dad. As long as you get a break too, that sounds very reasonable.

You’re in a break so clearly your relationship is suffering. If you want it to work, there needs to be some leeway for both of you to get away from each other and the kids and recharge. For him, sounds like his recharging time is with his friends. Maybe for you, it’s with friends, maybe it’s a night alone to relax... 🤷🏻‍♀️ You’re relationship with each other and your ability to be a parent will only benefit from giving yourself time to do the things you enjoy.

He can hang out with friends. I suggest you find some friends as well, like other moms and get out of the house. 
It’s not wrong at all to have friends and want to hang out with them once a week or every other week.
He shouldn’t be forced to stay cooped up with the children.
If he’s not devoting time to his children, and you’ve talked to him about it, it’s time for family counseling and couples counseling, which I actually suggest you do. 
He might not be ready for complete commitment and not everyone is. But you cannot isolate him from his friends either.

You’re on a break and to be honest you’re not entitled to much if he leaves you. Being a SAHM w just a boyfriend does not ensure you’ll get shit. So why piss him off even more over him wanting to hang w his friends seems like a bad idea.
