Halsey’s horrible lake experience

SD

... at least she looked cute

So we bought a boat a few weeks ago and decided Friday would be the perfect time to take it on the water since it was going to be sunny and 86 degrees. We have never owned a. boat so I was nervous about everything... backing it into the water/loading it up/ and safely caring for my daughter and 20 month old son. It was beautiful and the babes were both being so great. Before we know it dark clouds come moving in and the wind starts blowing like crazy bringing so much dust into the air

We immediately try to pull in but there are about 20 boats in front of us. Within mins hail starts falling on top of our heads. I am screaming trying to cover both babies and my older daughter while pea sized hail is hitting us in the head and we have nowhere to run and hide. I have never felt so scared and helpless in my life. My husband finally pulls up to shore at a side campsite and we run to the nearest restroom to take cover while he finds the keys. I back the truck in to load the boat and when we get home we realize it’s not even all the way on the trailer 🤷🏻‍♀️ couldn’t see with the hail knocking us in the face. We are all traumatized!!! Our boating years may be over before they begin 😂
