I'm a first time Mom. Should I take a birthing class?

I've heard some people say they just watch videos and research online, so looking for input. Thank you! 💙

Also a FTM. My husband and I are planning on taking classes thru our hospital. I feel like having a tangible experience for some.of the new things we will go thru will be really helpful.
That being said! 
I have been watching a TON of videos for months now. I have learned quite a bit, surprisingly! There are even recorded birthing classes you can find on YouTube. It takes a solid chunk of your day to make it this some of them, but well worth it. I enjoy the added research. Helps me feel more prepared

We did one at the hospital I was delivering at with my first and I would highly recommend. They gave a tour of the birthing center and even got to meet the anesthesiologist that ended up being on duty when I had my daughter!

The hospital we're having our baby at offers a free one every month. We're going to do because well it's free and why not see what it has to offer.

I loved our birthing class. Not only did we get lots of great info, it was a special time for my husband and I to bond and an opportunity to meet other couples in our area having babies around the same time. Highly recommend!

I'm debating the same thing. I'm asking my OB at my dr appt on Wednesday about them.

I took the free birthing class through my hospital. It was legit a 3 hour class where we watched a video the did some demonstrations of what could happen (heck all the moms got free back massages since the dads were taught how and where to properly massage us during labor). The class ended with a tour of L&D. I think you should do it at least once if your hospital offers it.

We just booked ours! I’ve never birthed before. I’m one of those women who needs to get all the information or ill be stressed and panic when the time comes to deliver! I guess it’s just a preference thing, but I am looking forward to learning all I can before the big day 😊

I didn't with my first, but if it's an option and you want to then go for it! Can't hurt!

Personally I didn’t, I was surrounded by pregnant people every day and couldn’t bring myself to do it on my spare time either. That being said I didn’t watch video either, I went into the whole thing just trusting I knew what to do. It’s amazing but I did. I know a lot of people who have taken the classes, it’s really up to you.
