Dangerous product?

My mom's friend was looking on my registry today and told me I should take this product off bc it's dangerous. Has anyone heard this? This is the 1 I have up, the JJ Cole Bundle Me. Basiclally to keep baby warm in the car seat/carrier. If youve heard anything, let me know. I will take it right off!

Anything aftermarket, that doesn't come with the carseat, is dangerous. Especially anything that goes under baby like seat covers, and this product or puffy things like big jackets, bunting suits/snow suits. All are unsafe. There are plenty of ways to keep baby safe and warm in their carseat in the winter time. You can use those covers that go strictly over the top of the carseat, or you can swaddle them AFTER baby is safety and correctly fastened into his/her carseat. Carseat safety is extremely important and not many ftms or even those with multiples know all the safety hazards/precautions when it comes to carseats.

It is because of the way it effects the tightness of the harness straps.  There should be nothing between the back of the car seat and your baby's back.  They say that if there is any padding there, it would be compressed in an accident and could cause your baby to become dislodged from their seat, which would be terrifying at the least and detrimental at the worst.

3am enfant makes ones that go over the car seat but don't go between the baby and the car seat. Much safer.

These void your carseat's warranty, you aren't suppose to use any after market accessories with your car seat that come between your baby's back and the seat, or alter the straps which this does both. You also aren't suppose to mix winter coats and car seats- you can't get the strap secure enough. Best thing to do is just strap your baby in and then cover with blankets. Anything after market put on a car seat voids the warranty...this even includes toys, strap covers, seat protectors, etc. You are only supposed to use what came with the car seat, anything else and they aren't responsible if your child is injured in an accident.

It's only dangerous if you leave baby unattended (can be a suffocation hazard, just don't cover baby's face. It's essentially the same as a blanket and you wouldn't put a blanket over his/her face). I had one (different brand) for my son and loved it during the cold winter days. The straps should just feed through the cover and shouldn't hinder them in any way.

I have one n to be honest I didn't even use it much I don't see how it's dangerous it has Velcro to add the straps in the back n a zipper so you can adjust how far you want it to come up we didn't even zip it the way up  I think it's good if you are out a lot n live in  a cold state baby shouldn't be to dress if you have this on car seat
