Zantac stopped working 😓 anyone else have severe acid reflux?

I feel like a fire breathing dragon!
I’ve had horrible acid reflux and heartburn this whole pregnancy and it’s just getting worse and worse. I can feel it radiating throughout my whole upper back and throat.... it honestly hurts. 
No matter what I eat or drink, or if I have an empty stomach, it burns day and night. 
Tums were enough in the beginning. Zantac helped during my second and most of my third trimester. But now just a couple hours after taking one it’s all back again full force.
Help! I’m miserable! 13 days till due date...let’s go little man I’m dying over here!

Pepcid complete it works amazing. I literally couldn’t eat or drink anything without having acid reflux and after taking Pepcid complete I was back to eating everything 😂 I’m also in my third trimester and nothing else has worked for me

Yup! Since Friday Zantac is not working as well. This evening I had a glass of milk and it helped for a while.

I’m on Prilosec now-Doctor wrote a prescription for it. I have not had any heartburn/indigestion/acid reflux since the day after I started taking it. I was taking 300 mg of Zantac and at least 15 tums a day beforehand. I’m almost 36 weeks now-been taking Prilosec since like 22 weeks I think

I had the worst on Friday, felt just like you did and called the on call nurse because it definitely didn’t feel normal. I would bend over from the pain in my chest and upper back and the nurse told me to continue taking tums and avoid all greasy/fatty foods for that day to see how I felt. So I ate oatmeal, water, fruit, avoided all dairy and greasy food and anything too acidic. I was miserable (hangry) because I wanted regular food that I knew would probably mess me up again. But The next day I felt so much better! So far so good, and yesterday and today I ate burgers and milk and cookies all that good stuff again. 🤷‍♀️

I take 2 tums at a time and milk I have the worst acid reflux and gerd period. So far it's been helping! Give it a go!

I've been choking on my reflux all day. Trying to deep clean my apartment before the baby comes, and every time I bend over or crouch down the acid reflux comes like a rushing river of lava 🤢🤮
